Comments: When I googled my great-grandfather's name William Wesley Hurt, this site came up. My great aunt, Willie Mae Hurt Ledford's name also came up. I am trying to find out more information including where my great-grandfather was buried (and more about why he was the way he was), etc. My great aunt would never speak of him at all. My grandmother never remembered him. Their sister, Diana did not speak of him either. YOU also have my great grandmother-s name on here too. The pictures at the top of the page for the Hennesse Family is on a picture I have of my great grandfather also-or a picture very similar. I looked in your photograph archives and could not find it. I am going through my albums to locate it to verify what I am seeing. Can you assist me at all? Again, I am looking for information on William Wesley Hurt, his wife Mary Lou Clontz, or any of his 3 daughters (Lola Diana, Willie Mae, Texielea) Texielea, my grandmother was 20 months and 15 days old when William was shot and killed so she didn't remember him. I'd like to know why my grandmother and her sisters grew up in an orphanage though. Other than the obvious fact that their mother couldn't afford to feed them and had to go to work as a maid/servant/cook. Any help you can give would be most appreciative. HOlly Barksdale
