CLONTS, SAMUEL ASBURY, 91, of 1703 Anderson Ave. died in a local hospital Friday at 12:40 p.m. A lifelong resident of Bradley and Hamilton counties, he was a deacon of the Antioch Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate Clonts: 3 daughters, Mrs. E.L. Richmond, McDonald Tenn: Mrs. H.M. Allen and Mrs. C.H.Richmond of Chattanooga: a son Mr. S.L. Clonts of Tampa, Fla: 2 sisters: Mrs Minda Brown, Dalton, Ga: Mrs bertha Winsett, Chattanooga: 3 brothers. Mr. J. M. Clonts, Chattanooga. Mr. J. V. Clonts, Ooltewah, Tenn: Mr. P. L. Clonts, Dalton, Ga;
15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 o?clock Sunday afternoon at the Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Luther Bettis and Rev. Scoggins. Pallbearers will be Cecil Clonts, Oscar Clonts, Fred Brown, Chester Phillips, Virgil Clonts and Leslie Clonts, all nephews. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery by J. Avery Bryan Co., Inc. The body will remain at the funeral home.
