1783 - 1851 (68 years)The Chancery Court Records of 1851-1855 in Lowndes county for the estate of Jacob Bonnett Sr. consists of over 100 pages. Lawson Mitchum, husband of Mittie Ann Bonnett was appointed administrator of the estate by the Probate Court of Lowndes County 15 Apr 1851.

Most of the probate records concern the petition of James Whitman, general dry good merchants against what he is owed by the deceased Jacob Moss Bonnett before he left for the Mexican War. Also there is a petition against the estate by Jno. G. Rogers
The estate further owed John G Rogers $616.40 with costs of $72.41 again against Jacob Moss Bonnet, for the rent of 190 acres of land and to Jessee P Tatum $404 with costs of $62.40. This was all finally settled in Nov 1855. By this time Thomas M. Williams was the administrator of Jacob Bonnett's estate.
The share of Jacob Bonnett Jr in his father's estate was $1131.48.
